All of our beers are hand crafted from pure Melbourne water, malted wheat and barley, hops and yeast. Every beer is bottled by hand, with the final conditioning occurring in the bottle. This process means that no preservatives or additives are required, and the beer is naturally carbonated by the yeast.
Emerald Hill Pale is an Australian Pale Ale with an English influence. Handcrafted from quality Australian malt, it's finish is flavoured by an English strain of hops known as Fuggles, giving a beer with a clean malt flavour and a crisp finish. Emerald Hill Pale received 2 Bronze medals at the Australian International Beer Awards in 2007, and was ranked 1st in the Australian Style Pale Ale Category in 2008. Available on tap in the brewery and in bottles all year round.
Emerald Hill Wheat is a German style wheat beer, also known as Hefeweizen. Handcrafted from quality Australian products using traditional brewing methods, it is lightly hopped to allow the natural malt flavours and aromas to be savoured. Hefeweizen literally means “wheat beer with yeast” - a style which requires the yeast to be mixed into the beer as it is served, resulting in a cloudy beer with banana and clove-like flavours.
Emerald Hill Stout is an Oatmeal Stout made from six different grains, including oats. Coffee aromas find their way through the dense tan coloured head, while notes of coffee, chocolate and caramel balance out the flavour, while the oats add to the creamy mouthfeel. The finish is slightly spicy thanks to a traditional English strain of hops. Availabe on tap in the brewery during winter, and in bottles while stocks last.
